Teen Mom OG's Ryan Edwards Returns to Rehab

Ryan Edwards is back in rehab as his wife, Mackenzie Standifer, prepares to give birth to their son.

Just days after Mackenzie told her fans and followers on Instagram that she could give birth at any moment, the former Teen Mom OG dad is expected to miss the birth completely after re-entering treatment about one month ago.

“He entered rehab in Alabama about a month ago,” a source close to the couple told Radar Online on October 1. “Mackenzie moved out of the lake house they were in and is now living with her parents.”

“[Ryan] isn’t supposed to be out until February or March,” the insider continued.

According to the report, Mackenzie is due to welcome son Jagger with her reality star husband sometime this month.

While Ryan and Mackenzie have both stayed silent in regard to his alleged stint in rehab, a second source told Radar Online that he is, in fact, back in rehab while a third revealed he has has not been seen for weeks.

As for Mackenzie’s Instagram feed, she hasn’t shared any new photos of Ryan since September 14 but according to the outlet, she did share a story at the end of last month in which she was seen hanging out at an event in Tennessee with a few couples and no sign of her husband.

Radar Online reached out clerks for the Hamilton County and Red Bank Courts who could not confirm whether or not Ryan’s latest visit to treatment was the result of a court order.

Since being caught with heroin in March 2017, Ryan has continued to face legal issues and was arrested most recently in July of this year for violating his probation.

Also in July, Ryan and his wife claimed MTV had given them the boot from Teen Mom OG because they didn’t want to feature Ryan’s supposed story of recovery on their show.

“We’re not returning to Teen Mom this season. The network told us they don’t want to show Ryan as a recovering addict,” Mackenzie explained to E! News. “But they did want to enter a contract with our unborn baby and have the baby film with Ryan’s parents so it would look like someone else is raising it.”

“They also want to take Maci’s word on how I’m doing,” Ryan added. “Maci’s said she’s not going to film unless I enter rehab again and quit the show. But I’m sober.”

Teen Mom OG season eight airs Mondays at 9 p.m. on MTV.
