RHONJ's Teresa Giudice Is 'Scared' After Husband Joe's Deportation

Teresa Giudice is understandably troubled by her husband Joe Giudice‘s looming deportation.

Following a ruling that requires Joe to leave the United States after his 41-month prison term is complete in March 2019, a source claims the Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member is feeling “scared.”

“Teresa is trying her best to stay strong and put on a brave face for her kids, but there’s been a shakiness in Teresa’s voice she doesn’t usually have. She’s scared,” a source revealed to PEOPLE on October 11. “Family has always been the most important thing to Teresa. It kills her that her family has been broken up by this for so long, and she’s angry that something like this would happen again. She always kept her feelings close to the cuff, but even she can’t pretend anymore this isn’t happening.”

Teresa and Joe share four daughters, Gia, 17, Gabriella, 14, Milania, 12, and Audriana, 9, and for the past two and a half years, Teresa has been caring for the kids full-time, just as Joe did in 2015 when she served an 11-month sentence.

“Teresa’s a mother first, so she’s going to attach herself to those kids. They are all incredibly close,” the insider continued. “The kids are at the age now where they know what’s going on. It’s not like when Teresa went away and they tried to pretend she was just working.”

According to the source, Teresa has been doing her best to keep her and her kids’ minds occupied in the days since learning the man of their house won’t be coming home as expected.

“The girls all love their dad very much, especially Milania, who has always been a daddy’s girl. I think the girls have just as many questions as Teresa has right now, but there aren’t any answers,” the source said. “Luckily, they live busy lives with school and activities, so there’s a lot to help them keep their mind off of it.”

In the meantime, the insider said Joe is planning to appeal the ruling, which he has until early November to do.

“No decisions about the appeal have been made, as far as I know. But I’m sure they’ll appeal. They did everything to fight their previous legal problems so why wouldn’t they try to fight this?” the source explained.

Although Teresa has the option of spending time with her husband during prison visits, she has been accused of snubbing him in the past and is reportedly seeing him just once a month at this point in time.

“She hates going to the prison, too,” the source revealed. “It brings back bad memories for her. And it’s far.”

In other Teresa Giudice news, rumors are swirling in regard to whether or not she will divorce Joe.

“Teresa is consulting with lawyers, and is actively discussing divorcing Joe,” a source close to told Radar Online. But, “she is leaning toward letting the appeal process play out, and not make any formal decisions just yet.”

In an interview earlier this week, Teresa’s Real Housewives of New Jersey co-star, Kim DePaola, told Radar she would not be going to Italy with her husband and the insider agreed.

“Teresa won’t be moving to Italy with Joe, period. In no uncertain terms would she even consider uprooting her life with the girls and moving,” the source said. “Of course, publicly Teresa is going to say she supports Joe, and hasn’t even thought about what to do.”

According to the report, Teresa is “still extremely bitter” that she was unable to spend time with her late mother, who died suddenly in 2017, prior to her passing.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey season nine is set to premiere on Bravo TV on Wednesday, November 7 at 9 p.m.
