Thomas Ravenel may have been fired from his role on Southern Charm but that doesn’t mean Bravo TV isn’t interested in seeing his girlfriend, Ashley Jacobs, return to the show.
Amid filming on the upcoming sixth season, a new report has confirmed that Ashley, who reconciled with Thomas weeks ago, has been asked back to the series.
“They weren’t specific about what her role would be since she doesn’t have a lot of people to film with. They wanted Ashley to work her way back into the friend circle, but there was just no guarantee that that would happen,” a source explained to Us Weekly on October 31.
While Ashley said just months ago that she would love to get a chance at redemption on the show, she reportedly declined Bravo TV’s offer for a season six comeback.
“Ashley was in talks with Bravo and the producers, but didn’t feel like she could represent herself well enough with the way it was being presented to her,” the source noted.
So, while fans would certainly love to see Ashley face-off with Kathryn Dennis, and possibly reconcile with her on-screen nemesis after her public apology in August, that isn’t going to happen.
As for who will be returning to the show, everyone except for Thomas appears to have been asked back. In fact, just days ago, the women of the show, including Naomie Olindo, Chelsea Meissner, Cameran Eubanks, and Danni Baird, teamed up with Kathryn for a girl’s camping trip (at a luxury retreat, of course).
During an interview with People magazine last month, Ashley spoke of her desire to return to the show.
“I would like to have a redemption story, the same way Kathryn [Dennis] did,” she explained. “I’m not going to fight and I’m not going to play dirty. I’m going to smile and be nice. I never had the chance to do that on the show because I was so wrapped up in Thomas’ drama. I was the villain, but people tuned in to watch. I’d like to give viewers the chance to see another side of me.”
Southern Charm season six is currently in production and expected to begin airing on Bravo TV sometime next spring.
