Mercedes “MJ” Javid is 45 and pregnant.
During a new interview, the Shahs of Sunset cast member, who is expecting a baby boy with husband Tommy Feight in May, opened up about her pregnancy, her co-stars’ involvement, and if she wants more kids. Also, MJ, who is pictured above at the “Kut from the Kloth” launch party on November 8th, 2018, dished on her worst celebrity encounter.
“I feel blessed,” MJ revealed to In Touch Weekly magazine about her pregnancy in their latest print issue. “I haven’t been sick, and things are going smoothly.”
While MJ ‘s pregnancy has been sunshine and roses so far, things weren’t quite as blissful during the time she spent conceiving. As fans may know, the reality star underwent in-vitro fertilization earlier this year after marrying husband Tommy in April.
“I love my doctor, and I don’t want to scare anyone but with IVF there were a lot of mood swings and weight gain and nausea and migraines. It put a strain on me,” she admitted. “The hormone medications had some negative side effects for me. The fatigue was overwhelming. But when you get pregnant, all of that fades away.”
Now that her hard times are behind her, Mercedes and Tommy are enjoying all of their baby boy’s milestones.
“Going to the doctor’s office is our favorite thing to do because we get to see the baby’s progress and hear the heart rate, and we read all those baby apps that compare the baby’s size to a piece of fruit,” she explained.
All the while, Tommy has been by Mercedes’ side, making sure she is content and happy throughout her pregnancy.
“He’ll get me anything I want. Whether it’s in the refrigerator or the car or the store, he’ll get it for me. Even when something’s within arm’s reach!” MJ gushed. “I see a look of love and excitement in my husband’s eyes. It’s been a new level of bonding.”
Although the seventh season of Shahs of Sunset has concluded, MJ has stayed in close contact with her co-stars, many of whom are quite involved in the do’s and don’t of her pregnancy.
“Everyone is very considerate and supportive of me,” she said.” It’s been great to see [Mike Shouhed] and [Golnesa Gharachedaghi] and [Shervin Roohparvar] argue about what things are safe or not safe for me.”
While MJ isn’t due to give birth until early next year, she’s already thinking about expanding her family further and said she “definitely” wants more kids with Tommy.
“We have embryos, and we’re also open to adoption,” she confirmed.
Also in her interview, MJ dished on which popular celebrity was the meanest, and which was the nicest to her.
“Oh, that’s easy — Alyssa Milano. She was dismissive,” Mercedes said of her unpleasant encounter with Alyssa.
As for the nicest? Alec Baldwin. “He was very interested and attentive,” she explained.
