David Beador doesn’t want to overpay his estranged wife, Shannon Beador, and has filed new court documents, detailing Shannon’s 2018 salary, in hopes of proving why his spousal and child support payments should be lowered.
According to a new report, the Real Housewives of Orange County star, who launched a line of meals with QVC last year, recently got a raise and David is ready to use that raise, as well as Shannon’s on-screen drinking, against her in court.
If you recall, Shannon filed court documents last year, revealing she earned $423,000 in 2017. David is however claiming her salary has since almost doubled.
On February 13, Radar Online revealed David’s court documents suggested Shannon is making close to $800,000 as a result of her role on Bravo TV’s reality show.
According to the breakdown, Shannon received $583,338 for the RHOC season 13 and also got $5,150 from NBC Universal for “network sponsored events.”
In addition, she reportedly raked in $181,390 from her management company, Central Entertainment Group, from media appearances and endorsements.
As for David, he claims he’s making $22,000 per month but has $30,000 in monthly expenses and just $11,000 in the bank. David’s salary is much lower than the $108,168 in monthly income Shannon listed for him in her court documents.
As fans may recall, David previously requested Shannon be banned from drinking around their kids but was denied the request earlier this month. However, he is still bringing up her drinking in the new court docs.
“I requested Mrs. Beador agree to not drinking or being drunk in front of the children and the request was denied and in fact disputed that she even stated she ‘self-medicates’ even though the television clip of her stating it is currently on the Bravo (NBCU) website and was included and quoted on several media articles,” his court documents reveal.
During the RHOC season 13 reunion at the end of last year, Shannon’s co-star and friend, Tamra Judge, said she believed Shannon had “self-medicated” during production.
“Oh we all do,” Shannon responded. “And I admit it.”
David is currently paying $22,500 in monthly support to Shannon but last October, Shannon slammed her estranged husband as a “disgusting” “nickel and dimer” after he attempted to have the payment reduced.
Shannon and David are due back in court this spring.
