RHONY's Bethenny Frankel Weighs In On RHOBH's Puppy Gate Drama! Is She Picking a Side? Plus She Signs Deal with MGM Television

The Real Housewives of New York City star Bethenny Frankel is weighing in on the ongoing doggy drama of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, which ultimately led to Lisa Vanderpump‘s estrangement from the rest of the cast. Also, Bethenny signs a deal with MGM television.

Bethenny, who is friends with Kyle Richards, took to her Twitter page on March 19 to echo the sentiment of many RHOBH fans when she wondered why the drama about a puppy is such a major storyline.

“I need everyone to tell me where they stand on #rhobh bc I think I may be seeing a different show than I heard about. I’m 4 episodes in. FOUR episodes about a #DOGBACLE,” she tweeted on Tuesday night.

In a second tweet, Bethenny said she didn’t understand why it was such a big deal for the cast to get to the bottom of who it was that encouraged Teddi Mellencamp to pass on the negative story about the way in which Dorit Kemsley gave away a dog she adopted from Vanderpump Dogs.

“STOP talking about the dog. Dog didn’t work out. Dog returned. That bummed Lisa V out. Who cares if some guy told Teddi 1 line about it in a text? I’m not seeing the big deal. Am I missing something?” she asked.

In other Bethenny news, after spending years as a full-time cast member on RHONY, Bethenny has scored a major multi-year deal with MGM Television and producer Mark Burnett to develop, produce, and/or star in a series of unscripted projects.

“I am truly honored, humbled and grateful to be working with the powerhouse game changer Mark Burnett, the innovative Barry Posnick [president of unscripted television for MGM Television Group] and to have access to the unparalleled resources at MGM television,” Bethenny said in a statement, via The Daily Dish. “This is the opportunity of a lifetime and I intend to maximize its potential.”

As fans of the reality star and Skinnygirl mogul may know, Bethenny and Mark, the chairman of MGM Worldwide Television Group, have worked together on two past series, including The Apprentice: Martha Stewart in 2005 and Shark Tank starting in 2017.

In addition to starring on a number of reality shows, Bethenny launched a TV production company, B Real Productions, in 2015 and produced two seasons of Food Porn, which aired on FYI that same year. She also developed and produced Bravo TV’s Bethenny and Fredrik, which featured her flipping homes with Million Dollar Listing: New York star Fredrik Eklund.

The Real Housewives of New York City season 11 airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on Bravo TV.
