RHOA's NeNe Leakes Questions If Husband Gregg's Cancer Was 'Payback' For Cheating

NeNe Leakes opened up about her marriage to husband Gregg Leakes and his cancer diagnosis during the intermission of her Ladies Night Comedy Tour stop in Newark, New Jersey.

After admitting her marriage to Gregg was on the rocks during an episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, NeNe explained what she’s gone through as Gregg’s caretaker and admitted to wondering if he got cancer because he has treated her badly in the past.

“There’s a lot of things that go through your head and people don’t know that. I want to show some love to all the caretakers,” NeNe said. “As a caretaker… It depends where your relationship is. You look at the person and think about, now, people love to say karma is a b***h and karma this and karma that. Honest to God, you look at the person and be like, ‘What is that karma?’”

“And that ain’t right. But you human and you look at the person and say, ‘You did so many different things to me, is this payback?’” she admitted. “You hope not. ’Maybe you getting it back from that time you cheated on me.’ You never know. But as a caretaker, these are the thoughts that go through your head because the medication has them on a rollercoaster ride and they lash out on you. It’s a lot.”

Also during the show, NeNe said that she’s considered separating from Gregg but finds it hard to imagine going about her day-to-day life without him around to manage their lives at home.

“I’ve been with Gregg since I was in my 20s and the thought of… I really felt a fear. The fear of starting over, being on your own, that’s the kind of fear I have,” she said. “I don’t know how to pay the utility bills. This is real. It’s not that I don’t know how to pay the utility bill, because if I got the bill I know it will tell you how to pay the utility bill but I don’t even know who the utilities are. The thought of me doing that, I don’t know who do our pool, I don’t know who cut the lawn. I don’t know who we pay our car to.”

”That’s me being a provider, just making the money and Gregg be like the house manager. So, he manages our house,” NeNe explained. “I don’t know who those things are with. I know we got DirectTV because it’s been off because Gregg didn’t pay it and the DirectTV thing slide across the TV and had a phone number at the bottom so I know we got that.”

NeNe first confirmed her husband’s cancer diagnosis in June of last year and later addressed her husband’s health battle on The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 11 airs Sundays at 8 p.m. on Bravo TV.
