Dorit Kemsley's Husband PK Wins Lawsuit Over $75,000 Betting Debt as Judge Sides with Him

Dorit Kemsley‘s husband, Paul Kemsley – also known as PK – has won a lawsuit that was filed against him last year due to a legal technicality.

A UK company called AR Legal Collections Limited filed the lawsuit last year, demanding that PK pay an outstanding $75,000 debt for betting.

This case is one of the legal cases that hasn’t been discussed on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, as Dorit has kept her husband’s legal troubles off the Bravo show.

The Blast is reporting that the judge in the case is dismissing all claims against PK, granting him his motion to have everything dismissed and the case be closed.

The case was filed due to PK reportedly having an open book account with Star Sports back in 2015. In October 2016, the betting debt was $260,737. AR Legal Collections was then hired by Star Sports to get the owed money back.

Originally, the collections company claimed they had worked out a deal with Dorit’s husband to pay out $150,000 where he had reportedly paid half. However, the last $75,000 had yet to be paid out.

PK’s defense was that the betting debt goes back to 2010 and 2011 and that the company, which didn’t file the suit until last year, had waited too long. PK also claimed that the company had no evidence to back up their claims.

The judge ended up agreeing with PK that the company had indeed filed the papers to get the debt back past the statute of limitations.

In addition, Dorit’s husband claimed that the company had been making threats to both him and his brother, who is not involved in the case.

This is just one of several financial issues that have landed Dorit and PK in the media. The two have also made headlines over unpaid taxes to the tune of almost $1 million and alleged continuous spending. PK is also accused of owing $1.7 million to the Bellagio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas for a past gambling debt and $1.2 million to a man who gave him a personal loan years ago.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs Tuesdays at 9 pm EST on Bravo.
