Andy Cohen opened up about his thoughts on the Vanderpump Rules cast while filming the season seven reunion special in March.
During an interview with Bravo TV backstage at the taping, Andy shared his pick for the most valuable player (MVP) of the season before revealing who needed the most improvement and who he would allow to babysit his baby boy, Benjamin Allen.
“[The] season’s MVP for me, it’s the man with the cleft chin, DJ James Kennedy,” Andy surprisingly declared.
While James was on the outs with the majority of his co-stars throughout season seven, and was fired from his DJing gig at SUR Restaurant during production, Andy believes he’s “shown growth.”
“I think [James] opened his heart up. I was really compelled by him all season long,” Andy admitted.
As for who needs the most work, Andy said there were at least two cast members who would benefit from allowing themselves to progress in the way James has.
“There’s a few with some growth areas… [Lala Kent], [Katie Maloney], uh, those are two,” Andy revealed.
Andy went on to say that although a number of Vanderpump Rules cast members came to mind when he was asked who he would trust to babysit his child, it was Brittany Cartwright who he’d select.
“Who would I trust to babysit Ben, excluding Lisa? I would trust the women. I mean, I would trust… Hold on. Actually the list, I’m narrowing it down… You know what? Brittany. I would trust Brittany to babysit. Final answer.”
The Vanderpump Rules season seven reunion continues Monday, May 13 at 9 p.m. on Bravo TV.
