Following David’s killing of their family pet, a French bulldog named Nugget, the former Teen Mom 2 stars are living alone after all of their children were either taken by Child Protective Services or placed with other family members.
According to a report from The Ashley’s Reality Roundup on May 15, Jenelle and David were supposed to turn their daughters to CPS on Tuesday night after a judge signed an order to have them removed from their care but failed to do so. Instead, the couple reportedly took the kids to another location where they are being cared for by someone else, possibly the girls’ paternal grandmother, Laura Jo Eason.
While Jenelle’s mom, Barbara Evans, was contacted and expected to take temporary care of Ensley, the child is not with her at this time. As for Jenelle’s other two children, sons Jace, 9, and Kaiser, 4, Jace has been with Barbara ever since the dog’s death occurred and Kaiser was taken by Nathan Griffith‘s mom, Doris Davidson, who was authorized to pick the boy up from his daycare last week by CPS.
David has another child as well, son Kaden, but he has not been able to spend time with the child since last year after Jenelle accused him of assault, which she later denied.
At this point in time, it is not clear whether CPS will ultimately take Ensley and Maryssa from their grandmother’s home. That said, there are no more children remaining at Jenelle and David’s residence and when it comes to David’s killing of Nugget, he is still under investigation.
In addition to David’s ongoing investigation, The Ashley’s Reality Roundup revealed in a second report that he and wife Jenelle are heading to court today in hopes of regaining custody of their children. Jenelle’s mom Barbara is also expected to appear in court.
During the upcoming hearing, Nathan and Barbara will be joined by David’s daughter Maryssa’s mother, Whitney Johnson, or a representative, even though she hasn’t had custody of Maryssa for the past several years.
According to The Ashley, Radar Online reported that Jenelle and David were able to see their two daughters, and Jenelle’s son Jace, at a visitation center on Wednesday but during their visit, David was “thrown out” of the facility “because he was arguing with the social workers” and causing trouble.
The Ashley went on to reveal that Jenelle and David will continue to be allowed to see their kids at the visitation center, even if a judge rules that the children should remain with their temporary caregivers.
“If the judge signs off, allowing Kaiser to stay with Nathan, and the girls to stay where they are, [Jenelle and David] will continue to have supervised visits with the kids,” a source told The Ashley. “For Jace, Barbara does not have to allow any visits, but she can if she wants to.”
