Jenelle Evans and David Eason are giving up on their fight to regain custody of his oldest child, 11-year-old Maryssa, and that’s not all.
According to a new report, the former Teen Mom 2 stars have not only dropped their bid for custody of Maryssa due to a “supervised visit gone wrong,” they’re also no longer fighting to regain unsupervised visits with Jenelle’s oldest child, nine-year-old Jace.
“Jenelle and David had a supervised visit at the visitation center with all four kids today,” an insider revealed to The Ashley’s Reality Roundup on May 30. “Jace and Ensley were there, as was Kaiser. Maryssa came but refused to see David so he left.”
“He said he’s done with Maryssa, and that she can stay with her grandmother for good,” the source added.
Since an investigation was launched into the tragic killing of Jenelle and David’s dog, Nugget, who David murdered in April for nipping at their daughter, two-year-old Ensley, Ensley and their other children, including Maryssa and four-year-old Kaiser, have been cared for by family members.
Following the removal of their kids from their home, Jenelle and David endured a five-day hearing before learning the children would not be allowed to return.
For weeks, Maryssa has been staying at the home of her maternal grandmother with her mother, Whitney Johnson, and Kaiser has been with his dad, Nathan Griffith.
On Thursday, after Maryssa declined to visit with David, he and Jenelle spent time with their other three kids, including Jace and Ensley, both of whom are being cared for by Jenelle’s mother, Barbara Evans. However, when it comes to Jace, who Barbara has full custody of, Jenelle and David are no longer trying to win back their rights to unsupervised visits.
“They are now only fighting to win back custody of Ensley and Kaiser,” the source explained.
And despite an earlier report this week stating the judge had told the couple how to get their children back, The Ashley’s is reporting that has yet to happen. Jenelle and David are due back in court on Tuesday, June 4 where they will finally learn what they’ll need to do to regain custody of Kaiser and Ensley.
