Amid his ongoing custody battle with former girlfriend Kathryn Dennis, Thomas has submitted financial documents in hopes of gaining full custody of his two children, five-year-old daughter Kensington and three-year-old son Saint Julien, following her allegedly failed drug test in June.
In court documents obtained by The Blast on July 10, Thomas exposed his financial records to prove he is able to care for the kids after his ex reportedly tested positive for marijuana.
According to the report, Thomas is requesting Kathryn, who denies any use of illegal drugs, be limited to supervised visitation with their children. As the outlet explained, Kathryn has suggested that the drug test was inaccurate and pointed out that a recent hair test showed no signs of drug use.
Thomas’ financial documents revealed that the former politician has a total gross monthly income of $153,255, including $2,500 from his job and an additional $150,155 in rental income and profits from his business. Thomas also revealed that his monthly deductions add up to $61,640, which leaves him with $91,615 to spare.
As for his expenses, Thomas spends $5,775 on rent, $3,500 on food and household supplies, $2,080 on daycare, $1,800 on clothing for himself and his kids, and $2,470 on health insurance. He also spends $4,150 on incidental expenses for his children and $7,500 on entertainment, including polo and taking trips.
According to the report, Thomas’ monthly expenses total $49,895.66, and he spends an additional $15,000 monthly on mortgages for vacant land.
Thomas also has $1.2 million in stocks.
Thomas’ 60-acre plantation in Edisto Island, South Carolina was recently listed for $3.95 million.
