A judge has just ruled in favor of Kathryn Dennis after she faced off against her ex-boyfriend, Thomas Ravenel, in a family court on Thursday.
As it’s been reported, the Southern Charm exes have been battling in court regarding their ugly custody dispute over their two children, four-year-old Kensington, and three-year-old Saint Julien.
According to a new report, a family court judge ended up ruling in Kathryn’s favor on February 28 over her demands that Thomas submits all financial, social media, cell phone, and medical records from January 1, 2015 until now. 2015 is the year in which Thomas allegedly committed two sexual assaults according to two accusers.
The Daily Mail was in court for the hearing yesterday, as they report Thomas had asked the judge to deny Kathryn’s requests, stating he should not have to produce any documents from dates earlier than June 30, 2017 because that was when he was granted sole custody of the kids.
The judge denied Thomas’s request, citing he “took a very liberal view of discoverable evidence.” Among the items Thomas did not want to be made public are potential texts and emails he allegedly sent to his former nanny, Dawn, who accused him of rape.
Thomas must now hand over these texts and emails to Kathryn and her legal team, in addition to also giving her any material relating to the $200,000 payment he made to Tinder date whom he made sign an NDA after allegedly assaulting her in December of 2015.
The report adds that Thomas and Kathryn did not acknowledge each other in court, and neither chose to comment upon leaving the courthouse. Thomas reportedly ‘shook his head and clasped his hands together in suppressed anger.’
Although Kathryn has never released a public statement in regard to nanny Dawn’s allegations against Thomas, she said in her court documents that Thomas was likely “under the influence of alcohol along with potential drugs and that the incident included a sexual assault of the Nanny.” Documents also reveal that Dawn passed a lie detector test.
Additionally, Kathryn also filed new documents against the ex-politician and in them, she suggests Thomas is suffering from a “personality disorder” that has led to at least two sexual assaults, one of which resulted in a “hush money” payment.
After Thomas was granted sole custody of his two kids, Kathryn went to rehab and maintained her sobriety in an effort to regain her rights to them. Then, in November of last year, she filed for sole custody of Kensington, and Saint Julien after Thomas was arrested on charges of assault.
Thomas reportedly told Kathryn “he had been afraid he would be charged with rape and that he would not do well in going back to prison.”
According to Kathryn, Thomas is suffering from “extreme narcissism and anger management problems,” as well as “periods of impulsive and uncontrollable anger directed at critics, strangers on the street and other persons at random times.”
In response, Thomas, who has never been diagnosed with a personality disorder, said Kathryn “has been diagnosed with multiple mental health conditions, including but not limited to Bi-Polar Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Attention Deficit Disorder, kleptomania, self-mutilation, and Cluster B Personality Traits including histrionic and borderline personality disorders.”
He even accused her of having “a history of purchasing synthetic urine” in an effort to pass drug tests and claimed her custody filing was not “out of concern for the best interests of the children,” but with “the sole and/or primary purpose of securing her role on [Southern Charm].”
Southern Charm season six wrapped in January and is set to premiere in early April.
