RHOBH's Erika Jayne Claims Her $40,000 a Month Glam Budget is 'Low,'

Erika Jayne revealed she spends about $40,000 each month on looking good last year. During a new interview, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star admitted that when it comes to her typical budget, that number is actually low.

After explaining why “other people agree” that it’s extremely costly to be a public figure, 48-year-old Erika revealed the one topic that’s “off-limits” in interviews, looked back on the relaunch of her career, and dished on her makeup-free days.

“That number is a little low, really,” Erika admitted to The Kit of her $40,000 figure on August 15. “It’s the cost of doing business! Other people agree.”

According to Erika, her look is a crucial aspect of her career.

“You get to speak through your hair, makeup and wardrobe. I’m communicating through costume,” she explained.

Although Erika is married and used to be a stay-at-home-wife to her attorney husband, 80-year-old Thomas Girardi, she relaunched her career at the age of 35 after feeling the trappings of “being a wealthy man’s wife.” Since then, she’s gone on tour as a musician and performer. She’s also had brief roles on a few shows, including Law & Order, Dancing With The Stars, and The Young and the Restless.

“Why would you give up on yourself?” Erika asked. “Women do not need to be put out to pasture in their 30s, or 40s!”

As the interview continued, Erika made it clear that when it came to the million-dollar lawsuit Thomas is facing, that topic was completely “off-limits.” That said, she told the outlet that she’s unconcerned about the online criticism she’s been known to receive. She said she doesn’t “give any f***s” about the thoughts of people she doesn’t know.

Erika then dished on her makeup-free days, saying that she loves to be “out of office” with her “phone off, no makeup, [and a] bathrobe.”

“You protect your energy, learn how to spend it and how to conserve it; save it for those who matter most to you,” she added.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 10 is set to begin production soon.
