Kathryn, who recently lost her mother following a battle with cancer, is being accused of being at fault in her second car crash in one month.
According to ABC News reports, the Bravo star was ticketed by Mount Pleasant Police around 6 p.m., Wednesday, August 28 for allegedly rear-ending a car on S.C. Hwy. 41, causing a chain reaction.
The police’s incident report states that Kathryn “striking the second vehicle caused a chain reaction, with the second vehicle striking a third ahead, and the third vehicle then rear-ending a fourth.”
The police also reported that two juveniles were in the reality star’s car at the time of the crash, which very well could have been her two children, St. Julien Ravenel and Kensington Ravenel.
“Dennis was going about 18 mph at the time of the collision. The other three vehicles were stopped,” said police reports. Kathryn’s airbags reportedly deployed as she hit the car in front of her. Police reports also indicate that no one involved in the crash was injured.
The police officer that came to the scene issued Kathryn a ticket for “following too closely” and said that neither “alcohol nor drugs were a factor in the collision.” The Bravo-lebrity was reportedly driving a 2019 Jeep SUV rented from Enterprise Rent-A-Car.
This news comes just a month after Kathryn survived another highway car accident on August 2. According to reports, the Southern Charm star’s car left the roadway, veered into the median along U.S. Hwy. 17, and slammed into a guardrail, three trees, and two light poles.
“Dennis said she became distracted by her children in the back seat at the time of the August 2 wreck,” the police previously reported.
While no reports have been made regarding the influence of drugs or alcohol, the reality star was faced with allegations of drug abuse in her recently settled custody battle with ex-husband Thomas Ravenel. Kathryn was also accused of appearing “drunk” on Watch What Happens Live back in May, but she insisted she was simply suffering from anxiety.
