Shahs of Sunset star Reza Farahan is opening up about the status of his friendship with his costar Mercedes “MJ” Javid and her husband Tommy Feight.
As fans can remember, the Shahs of Sunset star slapped MJ’s husband Tommy with a restraining order after he was caught on camera vandalizing his home and threatening to harm him back in May 2019.
On September 6, news broke that Tommy pled no contest in court to Reza’s charges. He was ordered to serve 10 days at the Los Angeles County Jail and complete three years of probation upon his release.
But despite this mess, Reza has revealed that he’s hopeful he and Tommy can move past everything that’s happened.
“We’re trying to work it out,” Reza explained to Too Fab. “You know, that used to be my best friend’s husband. We’re trying to work it out. You know, everyone makes mistakes.”
When asked if he thought he and MJ could ever be friends again, the reality star admitted, “I’m always optimistic. You know, I don’t think right now is the right time.”
“I just need a little distance, but obviously I have mad love for MJ and hopefully one day we can work things out,” Reza added. “Just take a little break. Just figure things out.”
Despite all that has taken place, the 46-year-old reality star still took a moment to wish Tommy and his wife well.
“I wish them the best. Like you know, they just had a baby like I have nothing but compassion. I hope that whatever is happening over there gets straightened out.”
This apparent change of heart comes after a vicious feud between the reality stars where Reza had released private information about MJ’s complicated birth. This then prompted the new mom to campaign against him on social media.
