During his and Teresa Giudice‘s special, Joe and Teresa: Unlocked, which aired on Bravo TV at the end of last month, Joe revealed which scene of the reality series was “painful” for him to watch after being asked by host Andy Cohen why he wasn’t tuning in to each episode.
“It was actually painful to watch them on television and it was actually sad,” Joe admitted.
According to Joe, the most painful thing he saw on the show was a moment in which one of his daughters waved goodbye to him as he prepared for the start of his 41-month prison sentence in March 2016.
“My daughter was waving through the window when I was leaving to go to Fort Dix. That was gut-wrenching. I couldn’t even watch that,” he explained.
Although a lot of RHONJ moments were too sad for Joe to watch, he did tune in at times.
“Occasionally, guys would come and get me and tell me that the show was on and occasionally I would watch a little bit here and there. I didn’t watch it that much but I would watch certain things,” he explained.
“When I was in Fort Dix, the first federal prison, there was this one guy, Jack, that loved Bravo. So, he always had the Bravo channel on,” Joe continued. “When I got to the other prison, which was Allenwood, there was really nobody that had that channel on too much. It was only on once in a while. I was able to catch clips here and there.”
Now that Joe has been released from custody and was recently able to spend time with his wife and children in Italy, where he is awaiting a final decision on his deportation appeal, fans are expecting to see him back on RHONJ in the coming months.
