During a new interview, the Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member took aim at Joe for failing to step up and prove he was a new man to Teresa and their daughters, Gia, 19, Gabriella, 15, Milania, 14, and Audriana, 10, after being released from ICE custody last October.
“It’s over. He didn’t know how to act. If he acted right, maybe. I believe if he came out and was so apologetic and showed her so much love and just was different — and he wasn’t that man that he was before. Like that rough man, ‘I don’t care, I didn’t want to marry you anyway.’ I think she probably would have given him a second chance,” Gorga explained to Us Weekly on Tuesday, February 18.
According to Gorga, Teresa was reportedly open to keeping her marriage intact before coming face-to-face with her husband in Italy and discovering that he hadn’t changed at all.
“She would have done something, but he just came out wrong — completely wrong,” Gorga explained. “They’re done. That ship has sailed.”
“It’s hard out there being single and you’re bringing somebody else in the house, it’s different,” he continued.
While Teresa and Joe officially separated in December after just over 20 years of marriage, Gorga believes the couple “should have been separated sooner” and wishes Teresa moved on from their marriage “much sooner.”
In addition to her issues with the man Joe is today, Teresa has also been coping with the idea that Joe cheated on her years ago when her daughter Gia was just three years old. As fans of RHONJ saw last week, Teresa admitted to catching Joe with a second cell phone but said she chose to stay with him at the time because she didn’t have any physical evidence of infidelity.
Also during his interview, Gorga revealed he was headlining his first ever comedy show, “The Real Italians of Comedy,” on Tuesday night and said he has more tour dates coming soon.
“I just want to teach people, listen, when you have a goal in life, don’t sit back. Just go get it,” he shared. “Just try it. What could happen? You fail? If I fail, I’m coming back. I’m going to come back harder and stronger and work harder and I’m going to get it. So that’s it!”
The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 10 airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on Bravo.
