Shannon Beador shared a photo of herself and boyfriend John Janssen spending time with their friends and Real Housewives of Orange County co-stars, Braunwyn Windham-Burke and Sean Burke, and she immediately faced criticism from her fans and followers, many of whom didn’t believe she was taking the rules of quarantine seriously.
Following the backlash, Shannon, who is currently on hiatus from filming season 15 as fears over the spread of coronavirus continue to grow, offered a statement about her thoughts on the quarantine. She also revealed that she’s taking extra precautions to stay healthy and safe because she suffers from a lung condition.
“Look who John and I ran into on our walk… @braunwynwindhamburke #socialdistancing #6feetapart #neighbor #quarantine=eating #gratefultobeoutsodeforabit,” Shannon wrote in the caption of a photo taken by Braunwyn on Saturday.
Shannon then updated her caption in an effort to clap back at her critics.
“Unbelievable some of these comments. I am in quarantine with John who is next to me on the grass. We are following all guidelines and I have taken this seriously— to the point of obsession because I have a lung condition. Ask my kids. Hoping everyone stays healthy and safe,” she shared.

Shannon also reacted to messages from her fans and followers in the comments section of her post.
“Some of these comments are nuts. Geez. She went for a walk and ran into some friends. Get a grip people,” one fan noted.
“Exactly…” Shannon replied, along with a red heart emoji.
After another fan suggested Shannon’s post was why certain people weren’t taking the quarantine seriously, Shannon insisted she’s been “diligent” about following the rules.
“Not funny at all. I have a lung condition so I am very diligent about the guidelines,” she stated.
“There is nothing wrong with getting fresh air and staying away from people,” Shannon continued. “In fact I have been encouraged by my doctors to stay active to keep my lungs as clear as possible.”
Sean also weighed in.
“Like our neighbors, we are taking this very social distancing very seriously, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t go outside for walks or that you can’t communicate. Just means that of [sic] you do run into your friends, keep your distance!” he explained.
