During a recent interview, the former Real Housewives of Orange County cast member said she was heartbroken to see that Shannon was nowhere to be found after she learned her ex-husband, Simon Barney, had been diagnosed with stage three throat cancer before sharing her thoughts on a potential reconciliation.
“Unfortunately, when Vicki and I exited the show, and with all of the stuff that was going on in my life, I was in a really, really bad place and [Shannon] just really wasn’t there for me and sometimes you go through really bad stuff in your life and you realize who your true friends are and it’s heartbreaking to me,” Tamra revealed on an episode of Hollywood Life’s TVTalk on May 8.
“We talked every single day for multiple times a day and now I would call and I would go to voicemail,” she continued. “I don’t know.”
For the past couple of years, Tamra, Shannon, and Vicki have referred to themselves as the “Tres Amigas.” They continued to have one another’s backs throughout the 14th season of RHOC last year while also going head-to-head with Kelly Dodd on a number of occasions. Then, after Tamra and Vicki quit the series, Shannon suddenly made nice with Kelly and was quickly unfollowed by both Tamra and Vicki.
Still, Tamra said “nothing huge happened” between her and Shannon and noted that she “still love[s] her to death” and would make amends with her if she reached out.
“We’re like sisters!” Tamra shared. “If she sent me a message right now and was like, ‘Hey, let’s talk,’ I’d say, ‘Yes, absolutely!’ But I’m not getting that message and I’ll be damned if I call again and be sent to voicemail.”
The Real Housewives of Orange County season 15 is expected to air on Bravo sometime later this year.
