“It’s been a wild 12 years . But it’s time for me to move on. Im sad to go but I’m very excited about my future . Love ❤️ you guys,” wrote Tamra on January 25 alongside a photo of herself and her husband Eddie Judge.
Shortly following her Instagram announcement, Tamra spoke out and admitted she chose to leave the show after being demoted to a ‘friend’ role.
“It’s been a wild ride, and after all these years, I’m looking forward to life away from the cameras,” said Tamra to PEOPLE. “I was offered a chance to come back to the show in a limited role, but would prefer to walk away on my own terms.”
It appears pick up letters must have gone out recently because just two weeks ago, Tamra shut down rumors claiming she had been fired after fans noticed she did not have any mention of the ‘RHOC‘ in the bios of her social media pages.
Perhaps fans should have seen this coming as many noticed Tamra, unlike her other costars, had remained mum following Vicki’s announcement yesterday which came a year after Bravo demoted Vicki to a friend.
Additionally, Tamra had openly voiced her dissatisfaction with the show in recent months as just last November, she slammed the show’s editing for casting her in a negative light and even accused the producers of ‘setting her up’ amid backlash from fans over claims that she purposely stirs up drama among her costars.
Vicki, one of Tamra’s closest pals on the show, had some kind words for Tamra, who makes up one-third of their ‘Tres Amigas’ trio along with Shannon Beador.
“We have shared so many great and not so great times together and it has been the ride of our lives. Thelma and Louise …. now where do you want to go?!” Vicki commented on Tamra’s post.
Tamra and Vicki had voiced their interest in recent months about getting their own Tres Amigas spinoff show so it’s possible RHOC fans may not have seen the last of them.
