Scheana Shay may have a right to be upset about the way she’s been portrayed on recent seasons of Vanderpump Rules.
While appearing on a couple of episodes of Evelyn Marley‘s podcast, Twisted Plot Podcast, Bri Dellinger, an editor of the Bravo reality series, admitted she loves searching for Scheana’s most embarrassing moments for the series and revealed Stassi Schroeder and Beau Clark are the series’ “special heroes” as Scheana seemingly responded on Instagram with a message of vindication.
“My favorite game is finding all the embarrassing things that Scheana does and putting them all in,” Bri said on one episode.
She also said, “If Scheana knows what’s good for her, she’d befriend me.”
LMAO imagine editing a show with Jax Taylor, Katie Maloney, Tom Schwartz, Stassi etc. Etc. as the cast and you choose SCHEANA to be the one to embarrass. This S T I N K S. #PumpRules pic.twitter.com/1ccrFx69yz

After admitting to targeting Scheana with her Pump Rules edits and joking that she should write a memoir titled “Death by a Million Embarrassments,” Bri admitted to manipulating a scene between Scheana and Stassi’s teenage brother, Nikolai, to make Scheana look bad.
“It was so funny,” Bri confessed, according to Page Six. “We were watching the scene and were like, ‘Okay, this is over the top, I realize that, but how can we resist?’ … Yes, I set it to funny music and I added a funny [sound] bite, but she did that.”
“We asked her in the interview, ‘How young would you go?’ and we didn’t tell her it was for the Nikolai scene, of course,” she added.
Following a sudden removal of the episodes from Apple Podcasts, an insider told the outlet that Scheana is “frustrated” with her portrayal on the show.
“She’s not the type to pop off when she feels slighted by an unflattering edit. She just wishes audiences got to see a bit of a more balanced view of her life, not just the most cringe-worthy moments,” the source explained. “She’s been assured by the network and production that she’s part of the charade. She’s going to be absolutely crushed by hearing that she’s actually the butt of the joke.”
On her Instagram Story after the podcast episodes were made public, Scheana shared a photo of herself, along with the lyrics of Dashboard Confessional’s “Vindicated.”
In addition to her Instagram Story post, Scheana also sent out a couple of tweets, which have since been deleted.
In her first tweet, which was captured by Love Andy C on Twitter, Scheana told Andy Cohen that she sent some “tea” to his DMs. In her second, Scheana told a Bravo fanpage she would share more information on Instagram later in the day.
In response to Scheana’s second message, her Pump Rules co-star, Kristen Doute, commented with a “smoking gun” hashtag and a couple of emojis, including the see-no-evil monkey.
Also during the podcast episodes, Bri revealed that Stassi and her fiancé, Beau, have been deemed “special heroes” by the network.
“Bravo decided that Stassi and Beau were special heroes. And so we do try to have Stassi and Beau in all the shows. It’s a Bravo call and not a [producer] call,” she explained.
