Kyle Richards did her best to explain why The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is on hiatus until July to a curious fan on Instagram over the weekend.
Days after it was confirmed that no new episodes of season 10 would be airing for the next three weeks, Kyle revealed why she believes Bravo has temporarily shelved the series as she mentioned potential “editing” that needs to be done and gave a nod to the coronavirus pandemic, which has led to a number of delays for the network.
“Why wasn’t there a new episode last week?” a fan asked days ago.
“I think catching up with editing. Covid [setbacks]?” Kyle replied.
News of the RHOBH hiatus was first shared last week, and at the same time, it was also revealed that The Real Housewives of New York City‘s 12th season would be going on a hiatus of their own for the next two weeks.
Although there have been a number of rumors regarding the reason for the unusual break, a source close to the RHOBH confirms to Reality Blurb that the hiatus is solely related to the break production had to take during the start of the pandemic.
As fans may have noticed, last week’s episode of RHOBH aired as a recap of the series’ sixth episode of season 10 and featured Garcelle Beauvais and Dorit Kemsley offering commentary throughout the broadcast.
As for the coming episodes, fans should expect to see more of the cast members discussing past episodes of the series.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 10 airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
