Who are the season 13 peach-holders of The Real Housewives of Atlanta?
“Cynthia, Porsha [Williams], Kenya [Moore], Kandi [Burruss] and Nene were sent contracts to return to the show full-time,” an insider source told HollywoodLife on June 18. “Friends of” Marlo [Hampton] and Tanya [Sam] have also been apparently asked back for their same roles.
“They’re all planning on returning,” the source revealed. “A few of them have signed their contracts already, while a few haven’t yet.”
Porsha notably shared her confirmation of returning to the series last week while series OG Nene is still apparently in negotiations with producers regarding her contract amid rumors by another outlet that she won’t be returning. However, both Nene and Bravo denied she had been fired and acknowledged negotiations were still ongoing.
Kandi also officially confirmed her return in an interview with Ts Madison, noting how she “got [her] letter” and is set to start filming again with the ladies.
Ts then asked Kandi about Kenya’s status, since the reality star was rumored to have taken RHOA out of her Instagram bio, although it appears she had removed the show a while back. Is Kenya for sure returning?
“She did get her letter so I don’t know,” Kandi replied, seemingly a little confused.
Will the franchise be hiring new housewives? Although rumors have circulated about a few possible candidates, the insider source noted that nothing has been finalized.
“Sheree [Whitfield] is seriously being considered to rejoin the cast for season 13,” the source said. “Phaedra [Parks] will not be considered while Kandi is still on the show. [Producers are] looking into casting at least one [housewife], but would like two other women right now to round out the cast.”
As RHOA fans can recall, Phaedra joined the cast for season three and left after season nine following allegations of her making up that former BFF Kandi had a sex dungeon in her basement and tried to drug Porsha.
The insider also added that the wives will be returning to film in July and that Cynthia and fiancé Mike Hill‘s wedding — planned for October 2020 despite the coronavirus pandemic — is “still on” and set to have a crew present.
