Andy Cohen is speaking out after a fan on Twitter called him out for hosting a “disturbing” and “awful” reunion for the 10th season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
Following the conclusion of the reunion on September 16, Andy was met with claims of enjoying the bullying of Denise Richards and antagonizing the actress with questions about her former friend, Heather Locklear, before coming across an emotional video featuring Real Housewives of the past.
“[Andy] doesn’t want to explain why he enjoyed seeing Denise be bullied, don’t you care how she was treated or do u think it was ok? That’s the problem, it was disturbing,” the fan wrote in part.
“I did not enjoy that reunion,” Andy replied.
In a second tweet, the same fan accused Andy of allowing certain RHOBH cast member to bully their castmates because he wants to remain on good terms with them.
“Andy enjoys it, that’s how he keeps them as friends by allowing it or they wouldn’t be his friend,” she wrote. “Used to like him but this was awful , he had no sympathy for Denise, notice how he kept asking [Lisa Rinna] to say what she knew about Locklear knowing it bothered Denise, he didn’t care.”
As fans may know, Denise was accused of having an affair with Heather’s now-ex-husband, Richie Sambora, years ago, but she maintained that their relationship began after he and Heather split.
In response to the questions he asked Denise at the reunion, Andy told the fan he was simply trying to understand what Lisa was referring to.
“No I was asking because I didn’t know what she was talking about,” Andy explained.
In a third tweet, Andy reacted to an emotional video shared by a Real Housewives fan in which the ladies who have left the franchise since 2019, including Vicki Gunvalson, Tamra Judge, Dorinda Medley, Tinsley Mortimer, Bethenny Frankel, Denise Richards, Lisa Vanderpump, LeeAnne Locken, Eva Marcille, and Danielle Staub, were spotlighted.
“Omg this is brilliant – and sad to watch!!!!!!!!! This is too much for one year!!!” he said in response.
