Braunwyn Windham-Burke is clapping back at those who have slammed her for her use of nannies.
Days after her Real Housewives of Orange County co-star, Kelly Dodd, took aim at the mother-of-seven for traveling without her kids and suggested she was a neglectful parent, Braunwyn defended her decision to hire two nannies before applauding them for helping them raise her kids and revealing why she and her husband Sean Burke won’t be having more children.
“I mean you don’t raise your kids if you have [two] nannies from sun up to sundown,” a fan wrote in the comments section of a video Braunwyn shared of her two nannies, Melissa and Liz.
“It’s 2020, we’re smashing ceiling and restructuring society, it’s actually possible to be an amazing mom and an amazing human,” Braunwyn replied. “We can do all the things, so can our daughters.”
In Braunwyn’s video, she admitted that she’s been taking a lot of heat for the help she has before explaining that while she has two nannies, they don’t work at the same time. Instead, Melissa works from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. and Liz works from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m.
“Braunwyn, you don’t owe anybody an explanation. Don’t give into the haters!” another person wrote in response to the clip.
“This isn’t about the ‘haters,’ it’s about putting names and faces to the amazing women that help me raise my kids,“ Braunwyn explained.
A third fan wanted to know whether she and Sean would be adding more kids to their family.
“Are [you] planning on more children?” the person asked.
“Nope,” Braunwyn replied.
According to the RHOC cast member, she and her husband, who recently moved back in together after living separately for some time, won’t be having more kids because their last embryo was used to conceive their youngest child, daughter Hazel.
“We did IVF for the younger ones and Hazel was our last embryo,” she explained.
Also on Instagram, Braunwyn revealed that she only needs help with her four youngest kids.
The Real Housewives of Orange County season 15 airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on Bravo.
