Is Teresa Giudice faking her luxurious wardrobe?
After making headlines earlier this month following the debut of her new boyfriend, Luis “Louie” Ruelas, the Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member is again getting tongues wagging. But this time, it’s about the potentially fake designer clothing she’s sported in recent years.
On November 17, an Instagram account titled The Real Bad Fashions shared side-by-side photos of Teresa wearing a Balenciaga T-shirt and explained why it was likely a dupe.
“Oh Tre, you looks GORGEOUS as ever but that logo looks straight up like a blob on your chest. As you can easily tell the logo is wrong, the shirt color is off, and the cut of the shirt of different. Shirts are screen printed to avoid errors and to make every shirt exact,” the page explained.
Last month, the same page shared a number of side-by-side images of Teresa, two of which featured the RHONJ star in a Chanel button-down and another that saw her wearing a Fendi swimsuit while enjoying time at the Jersey shore. The page accused her of being the “only housewife” who “wears obvious fake clothes.”
First speaking of the Chanel shirt, the page said, “The lettering is obviously different and the buttons are weirdly sewn on collar. A luxury brand would never sell a blouse with a button sewn like that.”
Then, regarding her Fendi swimsuit, they added, “There is a shine to the Fendi logo which is missing in hers…both in sunlight and in shadows. Also the blue letters are not in a straight line. Most notable the ‘I.'”
Teresa was also called out for wearing a potentially fake Louis Vuitton hat.
“I often get asked how you can tell a fake. One of the easiest ways is to look at the logo. Logos are essential and one of the most important parts of a design. Especially to well known designers like Louis, Fendi, Chanel, etc. They will NEVER f*ck up a label,” The Real Bad Fashions explained. “You will never see a logo messed up, altered, cut, etc. Everything will be lined up and so on. I think this picture captures that perfectly.”
The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 11 is expected to air on Bravo sometime early next year.
