Stassi Schroeder opened up about her pregnancy struggles in an emotional post shared to her Instagram Stories on Wednesday night.
As she and Beau Clark prepare for the January 2021 arrival of their first child, a baby girl, the Vanderpump Rules star took to her social media page, where she admitted her pregnancy hasn’t been easy before confirming she has “never been more thankful for anything.”
“Real talk – pregnancy is hard,” Stassi wrote on December 30, along with a photo of herself crying. “I don’t feel like myself. I don’t feel attractive. I feel like I have zero control over anything. I’m uncomfortable and it’s painful to move around. And my emotions are so all over the place. I feel insane.”
In Stassi’s photo, she was seen wearing a blue sweatshirt with a tear coming down from one of her eyes.
Stassi went on to say that when it comes to the comments she’s received from her fans and followers, she often feels that her candidness about what she’s been going through has convinced some fans that she isn’t grateful for her pregnancy.
“I’ve received lots of DMs from people telling me I complain too much and should shut up and be thankful I’m pregnant,” she explained. “I’ve never been more thankful for anything. Being a mother was my biggest dream and I can’t wait to meet my daughter.”
“I’m still allowed to struggle with it. Why is there so much pressure on pregnant women to be super heroes? Can we stop that now?” she wondered.
Stassi announced her pregnancy in June, just days after Bravo confirmed she would not be a part of the potentially upcoming ninth season of Pump Rules following accusations of racism against Faith Stowers,
Although Stassi will no longer be featured on the show, an insider told Page Six last week that she is in the midst of plotting her television return “just in time” for her daughter’s arrival.
