Is Tinsley Mortimer plotting a return to The Real Housewives of New York City with Leah McSweeney‘s help?
Following Tinsley’s messy split with her ex-fiancé, Scott Kluth, many fans have been calling for Tinsley to make a comeback in season 14. She left in the middle of season 12 because Scott promised he would marry her if she quit the show, but he didn’t keep up his end of the bargain, and now the socialite is single and jobless.
According to an insider, there is a rumor circulating among the current cast that Tinsley has been speaking with producers in hopes of making a return.
“[A current cast member] told me she’s begging to be back on the next season,” a source recently told Page Six.
However, other sources close to Bravo claim the 45-year-old hasn’t reached out to anyone yet. Furthermore, several of her friends say she’s still grieving the loss of her four-year relationship and is unable to even think about her future right now. But her pals also explained that the support she’s been receiving from RHONY fans has been helping her cope with the situation.
“They really do want her back — it’s very heartwarming,” one insider said. “They have created countess memes … about how they want her back on the show. Having supportive fans like that is really comforting when you go through such a heartbreaking life situation.”
Meanwhile, though Tinsley may still be confused about her future, Leah is allegedly pushing for her to make a return.
“Leah’s begging her to come back,” another insider told Page Six. “They’d have the best time.”
If fans recall, Tinsley and Leah became close friends while filming season 12, and the duo made great TV together. Then, when news of the star’s breakup began to make headlines, Leah immediately reached out and even offered her support publicly via Instagram.
Leah posted a Sex and the City meme that featured Charlotte York telling Mr. Big, “I curse the day you were born!” after he stood up Carrie on their wedding day. The Married to the Mob founder also included a “men are trash” hashtag, to which Tinsley responded, “Love you beyond! You’re a dear true friend.”
For the time being, it’s unclear what Tinsley — or Bravo — will decide to do, but thankfully, she has a strong support system around her in the meantime.
