Erika Jayne and Thomas Girardi will be spotlighted on ABC News Originals’ upcoming special, The Housewife and the Hustler.
Amid the latest season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, which features Erika flaunting her wealth amid claims that she and Thomas embezzled millions from his former clients, including widows and orphans, their real-life legal drama is set to play out on an all-new show.
“Once considered a crusader of justice, Girardi now stands accused of embezzling from the victims he swore to protect. Featuring interviews with former [Real Housewives] cast members Danielle Staub and Dana Wilkey, actress/comedian Heather McDonald, victims and legal experts, The Housewife and the Hustler follows the trail of documents and money to find out who was involved, how much they knew and who will pay for the alleged crimes,” a press release on June 2 revealed.
According to the announcement, the special will feature a “never-before-aired deposition tape” of Thomas — who once said he had tens of millions of dollars to his name — admitting that all of his finances have since dissolved.
“Voicemail messages, court records and exclusive network interviews with victims Kathy and Joe Ruigomez and alleged victims Josie Hernandez and Bias Ramadhan depict Girardi as a charming litigator who allegedly dipped into client trust accounts to finance his lifestyle and wife’s pop star career,” the press release continued.
In addition to commentary from former Housewives and alleged victims of Thomas, The Housewife and the Hustler will also include interviews with legal experts like Chris Darden, Brian Kabateck, and Neil Wertlieb, who described Thomas as a “wizard behind the curtain.”
The Housewife and the Hustler begins streaming on Monday, June 14, on Hulu.
