Andy Cohen appeared on the latest episode of Heather Dubrow‘s podcast, Heather Dubrow’s World, where he not only confirmed Heather’s return to The Real Housewives of Orange County but also the return of another Real Housewives alum.

Amid the buzz over the recent cast shakeup of RHOC, Andy teased the upcoming return of another former cast member on Heather’s show before opening up about the exits of Braunwyn Windham-Burke and Kelly Dodd on his radio show.

“I talked to someone else in a similar situation in another city and they were like, ‘You know what? I’m not going to tell anybody.’ And I was like, ‘Please don’t tell anyone,’” Andy recalled of his conversation with the soon-to-return castmate, via Bravo by Betches on Instagram.

“And they said, ‘No, I’m not. I don’t want anyone’s opinion. I made up my mind and I don’t want anyone telling me not to or why it’s a bad idea or whatever. Like, it’s happening,'” he continued.

Meanwhile, on his Radio Andy talk show, Andy said he’s “excited” for RHOC viewers to meet the two new additions before sharing his thoughts on Braunwyn and Kelly’s departures.

“I will say, regarding Braunwyn, I really give it up to her and commend her for being so open and letting us in, especially relating to her journey with sobriety,” Andy stated. “She was going through some really serious life stuff on the show and she didn’t shy away from sharing with us, which I always appreciate.”

That said, Andy and his fellow producers began to feel as if she should be let go to focus on her life at home as she attended the season 15 reunion in late 2020.

“Listening to her at the reunion made [us] feel like, maybe at this moment in time, being on TV wasn’t the healthiest spot for she and her family,” he shared. “I think she was dealing with some real stuff with herself, with her marriage, with her children. It was a lot.”

As for Kelly, Andy had all good things to say.

“[Kelly was] wildly funny and entertaining for many years on the show and just really had people talking for many, many years,” he said.

Production on The Real Housewives of Orange County season 16 is expected to begin soon.
