On the same day that the recently-fired Real Housewives of Orange County cast member announced she and Sean were separating after 26 years together, the owner of the home accused the two of them of stiffing her three months’ worth of rent payments and demanded they get out of her home immediately.
According to court documents obtained by Radar Online on July 14, Karen Ogden filed a civil lawsuit against Braunwyn and Sean on July 12, claiming the former couple owes her $45,000 in unpaid rent and revealing she informed them last month they were being evicted.
The home, which was put on the market in March, comes with “double sub-zero refrigerators and an expansive kitchen island clad with Macassar wood” along with “a glass enclosed gym, multi-purpose/play room and a movie theater with stadium seating, top-quality sound system, custom leather couches and a stage for special performances.”
According to Karen, Braunwyn and Sean leased the five-bedroom, six-and-a-half-bathroom property, which boasts 8,000 square feet, in January 2020. They agreed to pay $15,000 a month for the entirety of their year-and-a-half lease.
“We are packing up this house, the one we filmed last year, and we are moving. We have decided jointly that we are going to take a few months apart,” Braunwyn explained, adding that she and Sean will co-parent their seven kids with her living in Hawaii and him remaining in Newport Beach.
“We’re going to see what that’s like, living apart for a little while,” Sean added.
Braunwyn and Sean have not yet responded to the case.
