Erika Jayne is reportedly still keeping her distance from her estranged husband Thomas Girardi amid their complicated legal woes as a source claims the recent photos of the 82-year-old backup statements the reality star has made about his health on the show.
Following Erika’s revelation that Thomas calls her daily on the August 4 episode of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, a source claims the “Pretty Mess” singer still hasn’t communicated with the disbarred attorney in the months that have followed.
“She isn’t communicating with him still,” the source told Us Weekly on August 5.
Furthermore, the insider said Erika had a difficult time seeing recent photos of Thomas looking frail and disheveled.
“The photos that came out of Tom just proved Erika’s statements about him not being well. It was hard for her to see the photos of him,” the source stated.
If fans recall, Thomas was spotted in public last week for the first time in over a year. The former attorney, who was sporting a black eye, appeared much thinner as he walked along with the help of an unidentified woman.
According to the insider, Erika is mostly in the dark about his current condition because she only knows what surfaces in the press.
“[Erika] hasn’t seen him or talked to him since she left,” the source alleged. “She only sees what comes out in the press about him.”
Nevertheless, the source added that when Erika does need to relay information to Thomas or vice versa, it’s up to their attorneys to handle that, which Erika also claimed on the latest episode while discussing the phone calls she’d been receiving.
“I have not talked to him and I cannot talk to him,” she declared. “He calls me every day. That’s another hard part of it. I had to ask my attorney to call his attorney to say, ‘Please stop calling Erika.’”
As fans well know, the former Broadway star filed for divorce in November, and just weeks later, she and Thomas were hit with a lawsuit accusing them of embezzling $2 million in settlement funds meant for the families of the 2018 Lion Air plane crash victims. The firm representing the families also alleges that the couple’s divorce is a complete “sham” in an attempt to fraudulently protect their assets.
Though there have been numerous allegations and lawsuits filed against both since then, Erika has maintained her innocence throughout the entire ordeal.
