Garcelle Beauvais weighed in on Dorit Kemsley‘s recent home invasion during an episode of her talk show on Tuesday.
Nearly a week after the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star was held at gunpoint and robbed, Garcelle reacted to the break-in as her castmates, including Kathy Hilton and Teddi Mellencamp, confirmed they’ve been in touch with Dorit in the days since.
“There was a home invasion at her house on Wednesday night and it was three men with guns. [They] held her at gunpoint. Her babies were asleep. Her husband was out of town and I think they thought she was out of town as well,” Garcelle revealed on the November 2 episode of The Real.
Although many items, including jewelry and purses, were taken from her $7.9 million home in Encino, California, Dorit and her two children, seven-year-old Jagger and five-year-old Phoenix, were unharmed.
“She was very courageous and I just want to say that I’m glad she’s okay. I’m glad the kids are okay. And we just have to be really careful because we share so much of our lives on social media that we really have to be careful nowadays,” Garcelle noted.
One day prior, Kathy spoke out at a book party, revealing she had contacted Dorit via text message after learning of the terrifying incident.
“I just texted her because I wanted to give her space and just say, you know, ‘I care. I love you guys and [am] just wishing you love, light, and I’m so happy that you’re safe,'” Kathy told PEOPLE on November 1. “She said, ‘Thank you so much, love you.’ That was all.”
Meanwhile, Teddi revealed how she first learned of the robbery on an episode of the Real-Time Crime podcast.
“I started getting these text messages from people like, ‘Is Dorit okay?’ And I’m like, ‘What are you talking about?’ And then I saw the news [reports] that her house had been broken into and her kids were home and that she was robbed, and so I spent the morning over there at her house,” Teddi shared. “It’s just one of those things that’s so heartbreaking. And I know when people say, ‘When you’re on a reality TV show you signed up for this,’ and that’s the part that’s so devastating — nobody signs up to be violated in that way.”
“It’s just so frightening, especially involving your kids. She’s just so strong and my heart breaks for her,” she added.
In a sneak peek of tonight’s reunion episode, the RHOBH cast also faced criticism for not questioning Erika Jayne about her legal issues while seemingly throwing Sutton Stracke under the bus for doing so. The preview clip is below.
