RHOSLC Star Jen Shah's Trial is Moved to July 2022 Amid "Issues" as Court Docs Claim Her "Luxurious Lifestyle" is a "Deliberately Curated Sham" by Bravo

Jen Shah is no longer heading to trial this month.

According to recently filed court documents, The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast member’s trial date has been moved to July due to a number of different issues.

“Breaking: Due to numerous issues including pending motions, courtrooms, [Jen Shah’s] trial is continued to July 11, 2022,” attorney Ronald Richards revealed on Twitter on March 2. “Here is the order filed seconds ago. It includes a briefing schedule on [ABC]’s/co-defends. motion to quash. More to follow on Jen’s new arguments.”

In the accompanying document, it was noted that Jen’s final pretrial conference will be held on July 27 at 10:00 a.m. and that the trial itself will take place on July 11 at 9:20 a.m.

In addition to sharing the trial move, Ronald also posted a message about Jen’s new arguments in the case, which he believes may be in violation of her contract with Bravo.

“Does [Andy Cohen] know what Jen Shah is saying about [Bravo] reality TV?” he wondered with the post, which included a portion of court documents, stating, “‘Ms. Shah’s “luxurious lifestyle” is a deliberately curated sham created by a master TV network which specializes in selling illusions of glamour, wealth, and luxury.'”

According to the court documents, Jen and her team believe footage from RHOSLC should be withheld from the courtroom as not all that is seen on the show is real. In fact, the docs suggest that Jen’s lifestyle is largely fabricated by Bravo for the show.

“Before the government introduces a single luxury item of Ms. Shah’s, it should be required to proffer any evidence that (1) the luxury item is real (and not a fake), (2) that the item actually belongs to Ms. Shah (and was not loaned to Ms. Shah by designers eager to use Ms. Shah for their marketing), and (3) that the item was actually paid for by Ms. Shah (and not either a prop or perk from Ms. Shah’s involvement in the show). Without these necessary proofs, there is a real risk that the government will peddle a television show’s face as ‘reality’ in front of Ms. Shah’s jury,” the documents state.

“This could violate her contract with Bravo,” Ronald said.
