Chrishell Stause wasn’t happy when she came across photos of Christine Quinn shooting a commercial with Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member Melissa Gorga — just two days after she skipped their season five reunion taping for Selling Sunset, claiming she had been diagnosed with COVID-19.
After a rep for Christine claimed the realtor had tested positive for the coronavirus on Saturday, just one day before the taping, and noted that she was too ill to participate in the reunion even via Zoom, Chrishell took to her Twitter page, where she shared a GIF that suggested Christine had lied about the diagnosis.
“The lie detector test determined that was a lie,” read a message from Maury Povich shared by Chrishell on April 26, which came in response to a photo shared by TMZ of Christine and Melissa.

While Amanza Smith was also absent on Sunday as the cast filmed their first-ever reunion, she chose to appear on the special via Zoom as her castmates looked back on the events of the season. Meanwhile, after receiving the same offer from producers, Christine chose to turn down the virtual appearance.
“Christine tested positive for COVID and out of an abundance of caution for the cast and crew, she did not attend the reunion,” a rep for Christine told Us Weekly on Monday. “Producers offered her the opportunity to video chat, but she declined because she wasn’t feeling well enough to do it.”
“Producers were scrambling with the positive COVID test result news for Christine,” an insider explained. “The video chat option was a last-minute offer.”
As for Christine’s outing two days later, the source said that Christine and Melissa were shooting an outdoor commercial on Tuesday after Christine was able to prove that she was COVID-free.
“Christine had two negative tests and, in accordance with protocols, she went back to work,” the insider shared.
As for Amanza, she confirmed on her Instagram Story earlier this week that she was on the mend and had returned to her normal activities outside of her home.
Christine’s reunion absence came just days after she shaded Selling Sunset for its supposedly “fake storylines.”
“[Thirty] minutes till the launch of [Selling Sunset]. Enjoy the new season and all of its 5,000 fake storylines!” she tweeted on Friday.
Selling Sunset‘s season five reunion begins streaming next Friday, May 6, on Netflix.
