Teddi Mellencamp Shades Jim Edmonds' Use of "Scare Tactic" After Leaking Alleged Texts as He Suggests Her Livelihood is Based on Trash-Talking Others

Teddi Mellencamp is speaking out against Jim Edmonds after leaking a series of his alleged text messages on her Instagram Story.

After the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum shared several texts in which Jim reportedly called her “trash” and advised her “stop worrying about other people’s [business] before it comes back to bite you in the a–” in response to her poking fun at his and Kortnie O’Connor‘s wedding invitations, Teddi slammed Jim for using a “scare tactic” in an effort to get her to “back down.”

“I actually wasn’t shocked [by Jim’s behavior] because from everything that I saw of him on [Real Housewives of Orange County], it kind of just played right into exactly who I thought he was,” Teddi admitted to Us Weekly on August 3.

Following the July 28 episode of her podcast with Tamra Judge, Two T’s in a Pod, during which Jim’s former wife, Meghan King, was a guest, Teddi was allegedly hit with several messages from Jim, who demanded to know how she got a hold of his James Bond-themed invitations, which Teddi described as “very cringe.”

But Teddi wouldn’t reveal her source. Instead, she simply confirmed Meghan had been “blindsided” with the reveal.

“Take a joke,” she suggested. “Meghan had nothing to do with it. She came in, I had just gotten sent it. I’m on a podcast where we talk crap. I mean, that’s what the podcast is. And, you know, this over-the-top invite came, and I saw it and made a joke of it. “

Also in the texts, Jim noted that he likely can’t trust her and said he doesn’t “believe anything that comes out my ex’s mouth.”

“I think he likes to get his own way,” Teddi said in response. “He uses a scare tactic in hopes that you’ll back down… The only thing I didn’t like was a man talking to a woman like that.”

Following Teddi’s comments, Jim offered a response, via his rep, Steve Honig, who shaded Teddi’s career in a stament to Us Weekly.

“It’s unfortunate when someone’s livelihood is based almost entirely on talking poorly about other people. And it’s not a joke when you are on the receiving end,” the statement read.

Earlier this year, during her own interview with Us Weekly, Meghan, who shares five-year-old daughter Aspen and four-year-old twin sons Hart and Hayes with Jim, admitted that her co-parenting relationship with Jim was non-existent and said that her former spouse “hates” her.

“It’s horrible,” she shared.
