Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson have split.

Nearly one year after they were first linked following the 41-year-old The Kardashians star’s appearance on Saturday Night Live, which featured Kim kissing the comedian, 28, while they were dressed as Jasmine and Aladdin, the couple, who ultimately went Instagram official in March, is no more.

“They amicably split this week,” an insider told Us Weekly on August 5.

As fans will recall, Kim and Pete made an effort to keep their romance private at first. However, because Kanye West, 45, the father of Kim’s four kids, North, 9, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 3, addressed the topic on a number of occasions, while also expressing interest in reconciling with Kim, they eventually began living their relationship out publicly and made their red carpet debut at the Met Gala earlier this year.

A short time later, Pete made his debut on The Kardashians in the trailer for the second season, which featured Kim asking her then-boyfriend, “Babe? Do you want to jump in the shower with me real quick,?” and Pete quickly dropping everything to follow her.

While things between the couple seemed to be going well earlier this summer, especially after Pete spoke of his hopes for marriage and kids on Kevin Hart‘s Hart to Heart in July, saying he’s “definitely a family guy,” they appeared to grow more challenging after Pete relocated to Australia to film his upcoming movie, Wizards!

Although Kim did visit Pete, their communication was largely limited to emails and video chats.

“They send each other love notes while the other is sleeping and FaceTime whenever their schedules link up,” an insider told Us Weekly days ago. “The distance has been hard, but even communicating long-distance is exciting for them.”

As for where Kim stands with Kanye following their drama over Pete months ago, a report from E! News confirmed their divorce is “moving ahead.”

“They are happily co-parenting,” an insider shared as a second source added that the ex-couple is “in a really great place” in their co-parenting relationship.

But while Kim recently showed support for Kanye’s fashion brand, Yeezy, they aren’t getting back together. Still, a third insider says they “are fully aligned in making their kids their priority.”

“Kim was happy to be asked to be a part of the campaign with the kids and to support Kanye in this way,” the source explained. “But it’s not a sign of them getting back together.”

As for Kim and Pete, the sources said the exes still have “a lot of love and respect for each other.”
