Sheree Whitfield finally dropped her She by Sheree designs on Sunday night amid the finale episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 14. But unfortunately, she’s already facing some major backlash.
On the heels of the brand’s highly-anticipated debut, which quickly caused Sheree’s website to crash, fans on Instagram and Twitter are in an uproar after discovering nearly identical designs on Shein and Amazon.
“Oop! After 14 years in the making, [She by Sheree] has finally dropped, but some people aren’t pleased with the items and prices! Folks on Twitter pointed out [Sheree Whitfield] is selling the same gray [two-pieces] set as [Shein and Amazon] at a higher price,” The Shade Room shared with their fans and followers, along with a number of screenshots of complaints.
In addition to the backlash Sheree is getting on Instagram, the RHOA castmate, who returned to her full-time role for season 14 after a three-season hiatus, is also facing challenges on Twitter.
“Sheree really slapped a logo on this design and is selling it for $130. You can get the same on one Shein for $7,” one person shared. along with a series of screenshots comparing Sheree’s gray two-piece workout set to that of other companies.
Another person joked that She by Sheree is actually “She by somebody else.”
“[Fourteen] years for She by Sheree and she out here pushing Shein, Ali Express, [and] Amazon clothes with marked up prices. Reminds me of [Melissa Gorga] and her Envy pieces,” said another Twitter user.
Another person reacted to The Peach Report, saying that they didn’t understand people’s complaints and encouraging their online audience to support Black and minority-owned brands.
“Ummm when you can buy it from Amazon without the She by Sheree logo on it for a third of the price, then I have a problem,” they responded.
And someone else wrote, “Look I’m always down for supporting Black businesses but when they are authentic in design. She by Sheree out here charging $130 for an outfit you can get on Amazon for $30.”
Meanwhile, the ShebySheree.com website has remained down since Sunday night with a message about hoping to be back up within 24 hours.

However, a clever Twitter user points out that the website doesn’t appear to be down due to large traffic. Instead, it was put into ‘Under Construction Mode’ intentionally… leading to more questions.
I have a receipt of it not actually crashing, but being put on construction mode. An actual crash due to an overload of traffic is what you'd experience when visiting a government website or something and takes forever to load and often times doesn't. pic.twitter.com/dKyu2ci8Oz
