UPDATE: Employee at RHOA Star Kandi Burruss’ Restaurant Shoots Co-Worker and Goes on the Run as Investigators Speak Out

A horrifying incident took place at Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker‘s Atlanta restaurant on Wednesday night.

According to reports, a staff member working at the Real Housewives of Atlanta couple’s Blaze Steak and Seafood in the South Fulton region is on the run after allegedly shooting one of the restaurant’s other employees in the arm following an altercation.

FOX 5 Atlanta shared the news with readers on September 8, revealing that medics took the injured worker to a hospital nearby with non-life-threatening injuries as the suspect fled the area.

So far, officials have yet to confirm the names of the suspect and their victim.

As RHOA fans may know, this isn’t the first shooting that’s taken place at a Kandi-owned restaurant. Back in 2020, three people were shot at her and Todd’s OLG Restaurant, where her spinoff, Kandi & the Gang, was filmed.

According to a report at that time, the suspect walked into the restaurant and shot a man, injuring two others in the process and leaving all three with non-life-threatening injuries.

Following the OLG shooting, Kandi released a lengthy statement on her Instagram page.

“My family and I are truly saddened by the unfortunate events that occurred at Old Lady Gang (OLG) Camp Creek, on the evening of February 14th, an evening that was meant to celebrate love, unfortunately turned into something quite different.
Our prayers and thoughts go out to the individuals that were harmed or in any way negatively impacted. We are aware that this matter is being actively investigated by law enforcement and we are cooperating with law enforcement to bring to justice those involved,” she wrote, in part.

Kandi and Todd have not yet addressed the more recent shooting at Blaze.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 14 reunion begins airing this Sunday night, September 11, at 8/7c on Bravo.

UPDATE: The employee shot is said to be Kandi’s cousin Chef Melvin. He appears to be in stable condition after being shot in the arm.
