Kyle Richards attended the 2022 People’s Choice Awards on Monday after being nominated as an individual for Reality TV Star of 2022, and also for her roles in the ensemble casts of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and Halloween Ends, which were nominated for Reality Show of 2022 and Drama Movie of 2022, respectively. And while there, she confirmed RHOBH is on “pause” and offered an update on her relationship with sister Kathy Hilton.
Before revealing where she stands with Kathy following the dramatic 12th season of the Bravo reality show and sharing her hopes for their future reconciliation, Kyle downplayed the potential “drama” surrounding RHOBH‘s delay in production.
“I think ‘pause’ is the word of the moment; It sounds a little more dramatic than it actually is. I think we just kind of want to shift our schedule, actually. So we used to start in April, it’s kind of inched its ways over the years, but we are starting later this time,” Kyle explained to Extra TV‘s Melvin Robert on December 5.
“People think, ‘Oh there must be some drama, they are starting late.’ It’s not that serious,” she added.
As for her hopes for season 13, Kyle said she hopes to reconcile with a number of her co-stars.
“Last season was a very rough season for me. I was very depressed after the season ended. So I’m hoping to mend some relationships there and be able to move forward in my life to have some peace,” she stated.
And one of those co-stars is, of course, Kathy.
“We could be better, you know, but we are sisters and at the end of the day we always come together, but we could be better and that’s what I want, that’s what I need in my life to feel good,” Kyle shared.
Also during the interview, Kyle revealed she’ll be spending the holidays at her home in Aspen, where she plans to do plenty of skiing and lounging by her fireplace.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast is expected to begin filming season 13 in early 2023.
