Guerdy Abraira was disappointed by an encounter she had with Kenya Moore at BravoCon in October 2022.
While looking back at the fan festival before offering an update on Martina Navratilova‘s cancer battle, the Real Housewives of Miami cast member, 45, admitted that after idolizing Kenya, 52, as the “queen” of The Real Housewives of Atlanta and introducing herself to her at the event, she found that Kenya wasn’t as nice as she’d hoped.
“I had one [encounter] that really kind of, like, broke my soul in a way because I … fix crowns,” Guerdy said on Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea podcast. “And maybe it wasn’t shady on purpose because [we were] so all over the place. [But] I saw Kenya and I’m like, ‘Oh my God, Kenya, hi!’ And she goes, ‘Oh, hi …Which show are you on again?’ Like that.”
“And I was like, ‘OK, OK, ma’am. Moving right along. OK, queen.’ … But the way she said it, it was kind of like, ‘Hey, be nice. Be nice, you know?’” Guerdy shared.
Although their interaction wasn’t ideal, Guerdy said she isn’t holding a grudge.
“I love [RHOA], of course, and I think she’s a queen. I mean, she is the queen,” she explained. “She’s amazing. So it was a little disappointing that was the response … [But] all good in my hood, trust me. Listen, honey, onward always.”
On the latest season of RHOM, Guerdy has shown off her fire captain husband, Russell Abraira, but according to the event planner, fans “have not even seen the full Russell experience.”
“He’s f-cking hot. He’s a thing. You’ll get to see,” she teased.
Also on Page Six‘s podcast, Guerdy said Martina, 66, is “doing great” after being diagnosed with throat and breast cancer.
“It’s looking very, very positive,” she confirmed. “And it’s on the preventative side, when they found out, it’s early. And we [pray] and that’s it. We’re keeping our head down and [hoping] for the best for her.”
“I spoke to [Julia Lemigova, 50] as soon as it happened. We were supposed to get together for my birthday, but obviously, she had to take care of some things medically for Martina,” she continued. “They’re in great spirits, that’s the good news.”
As RHOM fans may recall, Martina and Julia were featured in a heartwarming scene on the show, during which they shared a kiss while taking a dip in the water at their Florida home, just before Martina publicly announced the diagnosis.
“The beautiful thing about it is that it just so happened that [the diagnosis announcement] synchronized with that episode,” Guerdy noted. “That was so White Lotus in the imagery of the last scene in that episode where Julia’s hiding in the water. The best scene of the entire season to date right now is that, to me.”
