Mia Thornton took to her Instagram Story recently to defend herself against some claims on The Real Housewives of Potomac.
After being accused of lying about her age, plastic surgeries, and business, Mia shared a number of posts with her fans and followers in which she proved her age and status as a business owner before also confirming what work she’s had done and slamming former BFF Jacqueline Blake as “obsessed.”
“Sure judge me on a [two-second] edit. Shows your character,” Mia began on February 3 as she shared a screenshot of someone asking her, “Didn’t you start off on the show by lying about your age?”
“No, I never ‘LIED’ about my age. Next question?” Mia replied, along with her Maryland Driver’s License, which confirmed she is 38.
Another person wanted to know, “How many face surgeries have you had? Be honest!”
“Lips. Botox. [Four] Boobs… I even had my [nose] worked on,” Mia explained.
Mia then shared a message previously posted on Twitter in which she took aim at Jacqueline, suggesting the RHOP season seven “friend” became obsessed with her after she gained fame on the show.
“Nah, known her since 15. We went YEARS not speaking to each other but as soon as I started receiving ‘fame’ she became obsessed. Oh and also for the record. I lived with her for a few months, until she got JEALOUS and cause her parents to kick me out,” Mia revealed.
As for Mia’s businesses, which include Massage Envy Spas and The Joint Chiropractic, she seemed to confirm she is the owner of Massage Envy Spas with a screenshot noting the business as a limited liability company that was established in September 2017.
In her screenshot, Mia’s husband Gordon Thornton was listed as the chief executive officer (CEO) as she was listed as the chief operating officer (COO), as well as an agent and administrative member.
In a fifth post shared on her Instagram Story, Mia defended her decision to speak out.
“Girl, why are you posting your personal business on social media? Stop people pleasing, why do you give a [damn] about what others think??” a fan asked.
“I don’t. Unfortunately, my investors do. So scroll and take notes,” Mia replied.
Then, in a couple of additional notes, Mia said, “My partnerships will always take precedence. Been that girl, won’t let anyone or anything take that from me. Period,” and, “Reputation + Integrity is how I’ve made it this far. And I damn sure ain’t come this far for fortune or fame to tarnish my name.”
“Any questions?” she concluded.
Part one of The Real Housewives of Potomac season 7 reunion airs February 19 at 8/7c on Bravo.
