Gia Giudice called out Joe Gorga after he shared a video of himself amid an impromptu run-in with his former brother-in-law (and her father) Joe Giudice over the weekend.
After the Real Housewives of New Jersey husband took to his Instagram page to share the happy moment between himself and Giudice, Gia took to the comments section of the post, where she slammed her uncle as “an opportunist” who has done nothing but speak poorly about her father in recent years.
“Both walked into the same bar at the same time. A lot of history there. We have memories since we were kids. I’m happy he’s doing well and looks good. We were both happy to see each other and catch up. Glad someone caught it,” Gorga wrote in the caption of his February 19 clip.
And shortly after the post was shared, Gia weighed in.
“This is honestly comical knowing you were with him for not even [five] minutes and [were] able to have someone take a video of the interaction meanwhile all you have done is talked so poorly about my father. You are such an opportunist to take advantage of the once in a lifetime opportunity to see my father and use it for a post,” she wrote.
After seeing what their niece had shared, both Melissa Gorga and her husband seemingly responded to the message with similar posts.
“We both spoke poorly about each other. It was a nice moment. We have a lot of history together. Get the hate out of your heart,” read a message shared by Melissa’s page.

But after a number of fans and fan pages took notice of the nearly identical statements the Gorgas had shared, Melissa explained the comment mixup in another message.
“That was actually Joe writing that,” she revealed, via a screenshot shared by RHONJ Source on Instagram. “He had my phone in his hand and he didn’t even realize he was writing it on my phone. I was showing him Gia’s comment.”
Also on Instagram, after being met with a fan who pointed out that Gorga had “called [Giudice] a bad seed” in the last episode of RHONJ and noted that they were “so confused” by the friendly encounter, Gorga appeared to suggest that it was water under the bridge for him and Giudice.
“That’s the point. We’ve said terrible things about each other. But when we saw each other it didn’t matter,” he shared.
