Scheana Shay is fighting back against claims of being an “instigator” on Vanderpump Rules season 10.
After being accused of “pushing” Tom Schwartz to hook up with Raquel Leviss amid his divorce from Katie Maloney last year, Scheana revealed what she actually told her castmate while also addressing Katie’s leaked texts, the rumor Katie started about Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval, and Stassi Schroeder‘s potential return.
“I think Raquel’s in the middle of a lot of it, but I think it appears I’m the instigator right now with trying to get Schwartz and Raquel [together],” Scheana said while speaking to ET Canada at a Pump Rules season 10 viewing party and Give Them Lala VIP event on Wednesday night.
According to Scheana, all she did with Schwartz and Raquel was make “a couple of side comments.”
“It wasn’t like me grabbing their heads and pushing them together. It was like, Raquel thought Schwartz looked good and we were at the bar and I was like, ‘You should make out with him,’” she admitted. “That was it. That was me pushing.”
As for a future relationship between Schwartz and Raquel, Scheana admitted she’s not ruling it out.
“They get along great. They’re good friends. They’ve had fun together. You never know with this group,” she teased.
Moving on to Katie and the text messages between them that she leaked on Instagram days ago, Scheana said her Pump Rules castmate “always takes it too far.”
“She likes to hit below the belt,” Scheana noted of Katie. “That’s her fighting style.”
Although Katie intended to prove that Scheana had meddled amid her and Schwartz’s divorce, Scheana said she felt the leaked texts worked in her favor.
“Those texts just showed what I was trying to explain in the episode tonight. I’m like, ‘You literally convinced me this is what you wanted. Then you changed your mind. Sure, that’s fine. I understand. I will back off. But I thought I was doing you a favor,'” Scheana explained. “And I’m not gonna back down from that. I stand by that.”
When Scheana was then asked about the “open relationship” claims Katie made against Ariana and Sandoval, she confirmed the suggestion was untrue.
“They’ve never been in an open relationship, so the fact that Katie started this rumor, that’s what she does. She says something when no one else is there and then just watches what happens with it,” Scheana stated.
Also during the interview, after being questioned about whether or not she felt Stassi should return to the show, Scheana said, “No.”
“I don’t think she’d ever be back on Vanderpump Rules,” she added.
