Ariana Madix has never felt “hotter” following her messy split from Tom Sandoval, who she dated for nine years before learning he was having an affair with their Vanderpump Rules co-star and friend, Raquel Leviss.
As she enjoys her new romance with fitness trainer Daniel Wai, who recently vowed on Instagram that he would “take care” of the reality star, Ariana is thriving — and preparing to attend the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner with her co-star and former boss, Lisa Vanderpump.
“I’m so thrilled and honored to be invited by DailyMail.com. I watch the dinner on TV every year and have always dreamed of being there in person,” Ariana told the Daily Mail of her upcoming visit to Washington, D.C., on April 24. “My wonderful late grandmother was very active in local politics and I’ve always dreamed of visiting the White House, so this is an incredible honor.”
As for Lisa, she joked, “I don’t know what’s more complicated reality television or politics – I guess I’ll find out on Saturday evening,” and continued, “I’m delighted to be attending this year’s White House Correspondents Association dinner as a guest of DailyMail.com.”
“I’m also looking forward to visiting Capitol Hill again after we successfully passed resolution 401,” she added.
As Pump Rules fans will recall, Lisa was heavily active in politics in 2018 when she rallied to get H.R. 401, a bill condemning the dog and cat meat trade, passed. She was also a vocal supporter of the Preventing Animal Cruelty and Torture Act, which made specific kinds of animal abuse a felony.
This year’s Correspondents’ Association Dinner, known as “nerd prom,” will be hosted by The Daily Show‘s Roy Wood Jr. and will raise money for journalism scholarships.

After Ariana and Daniel went public with their romance earlier this month on Instagram as they attended Coachella, Daniel was met with comments from social media users who wanted to be sure he’d be good to Ariana.
“Take care of all our girl ARIANA!!!!!!!!!!” one person said.
“Will do!” he promised.
Another said, “I love [Ariana Madix] take care of that beautiful woman. She is a lady.”
“Yes,” Daniel replied, along with a raised hands emoji.
As Ariana moves forward from her nearly-10-year relationship with Sandoval, she’s been focusing on her career, including her and Katie Maloney‘s new sandwich shop and her Lifetime film.
She’s also nabbed a number of new partnerships, including one with Bloomingdale’s that made her feel “hotter” than ever.
“As you may have heard, Bloomingdale’s treated me to a shopping spree! Obsessed with all [four] of these looks… I’ve never felt hotter! Which is your fave?!” Ariana asked, along with a slideshow of looks, including a red dress, a sheer nude dress, a purple dress, and a black cut-out jumpsuit, on Instagram.
