Tom Sandoval and Raquel Leviss‘ months-long affair may not have been revealed until March. But in the months leading up to the scandal, there were several clues, one of which was revealed in a just-released sneak peek at next week’s new episode of Vanderpump Rules.
In the preview clip, the cast is seen learning that Sandoval and Raquel had a sleepover while Ariana Madix was out of town (attending her grandmother’s funeral nonetheless) after she shows up late to work and boss Lisa Vanderpump relays the information to her husband, Ken Todd.
“Don’t even get me started on Sandoval. By the way, you know Raquel slept at Sandoval’s that night, right?” Lala Kent asks James Kennedy as the sneak peek begins.
“How do you know about this?” he replies as Lala reveals she was told by Katie Maloney.
According to Lala, Katie learned of the sleepover at Villa Rosa, where she was helping Lisa.
“A few days ago, Katie was at Villa Rosa working on sandwiches while Ariana was back home at her grandmother’s funeral. They’re tasting sandwiches when Ken walks out and drops the mother of all gossip bombs,” she shares in a confessional.
At that point, viewers are taken to Villa Rosa, where Ken proclaims, “I can’t believe that Tom Sandoval had Raquel over when Ariana’s away, in the jacuzzi as well.”
“I know. I know,” Lisa responds.
“And to stay the night,” Ken continues. “I couldn’t believe that.”
Prior to Ken’s reveal, Lisa learned of the sleepover from Raquel after she shows up an hour and a half late to her shift at SUR.
“Hi, I’m sorry. I’m so sorry I’m late,” Raquel says as she walks to the table where Lisa is seated.
“Tell me why you’re late. Sit down here. I want to hear why you’re late,” Lisa replies.
“I overslept,” Raquel explained. “I stayed up late. I went back to Tom’s place and we went in the jacuzzi with Schwartz.”
Then, after Lisa asks Raquel where she slept, Raquel confirms she stayed the night “at Sandoval’s” before quickly defending the sleepover.
“Nothing happened, though,” she insists.
But Lisa isn’t impressed with the decision.
“It doesn’t matter if something happened. It’s just the fact that you were there,” she points out.
“I know it looks bad. It was easier to just sleep on the couch and stay the night,” Raquel responds.
Lisa then puts in a call to Sandoval to hear his side of the story.
“I’m calling you because Raquel has just shown up here an hour and a half late looking like a bag of sh-t and then she said she got so wasted last night and ended up spending the night at your house,” she tells him.
But after admitting that the two of them “hung out for a little bit,” Sandoval seems to attempt to lie about their time together, claiming, “Actually, she left early.”
“So she didn’t stay the night?” Lisa wonders.
“I said she dipped out, which is true. She dipped out,” Sandoval states before ultimately confessing to the sleepover.
“Did she spend the night at your house? Did she or not, yes or no?” Lisa presses.
“Yes,” Sandoval confirms. “[But] I have people crash at my house [all the time].”
