Andy Cohen Defends Tom Sandoval Against "Out of Control" Fans and Confirms RHONJ is at a "Crossroads" Over Teresa and Melissa Feud

Andy Cohen is siding with Lisa Vanderpump. He doesn’t agree with the vitriol that fans have been spewing at Tom Sandoval ever since his months-long affair with Raquel Leviss was exposed publicly in early March.

While appearing on a couple of podcasts earlier this week, the Watch What Happens Live host pointed out that the Vanderpump Rules star “didn’t kill anyone” as he addressed the future of The Real Housewives of New Jersey amid Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga‘s ongoing feud.

“[The show is] at a crossroads … There are several options. They’re both really popular,” Andy explained to host Kelly Ripa on the May 31 episode of Let’s Talk Off Camera, via Entertainment Tonight.

“I think they’re both walking around with the institutional knowledge that they both have and the institutional hurt feelings, especially Teresa,” he continued. “Teresa let out at the last reunion that she was mad at Melissa for not changing her wedding date because Teresa was pregnant at her wedding and she was a bridesmaid. She didn’t like how she looked. So this is now going back for 15 years.”

According to Andy, Teresa is “clearly not over” the issues she and Melissa have gone through over the years. And when it comes to who’s right and who’s wrong, he believes “they’re both a little right.”

“I think they both have really good points, and I think that’s why it’s not so clearly cut about whose side to be on,” he shared.

Meanwhile, on another podcast, Andy blasted fans for acting “out of control” amid Scandoval.

“Tom Sandoval made a mistake he’ll probably regret for the rest of his life,” Andy said on the May 30 episode of Not Skinny But Not Fat, via Page Six. “[But] he is still a person … He didn’t kill anyone, he didn’t commit a crime. He’s a real person. He did something really stupid and hurtful and asinine … [but] he didn’t kill anyone, he didn’t commit a crime.”

“It’s out of control, I hope it’s kind of dying down for his sake,” he added.

Then, after being asked why there has been so much buzz around Sandoval’s misdeeds, which took place behind the back of his former girlfriend of nine years, Ariana Madix, Andy said he believes it’s been so polarizing because “the cast is so incestuous already.”

The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 13 reunion is currently airing on Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo, and the Vanderpump Rules season 10 reunion is airing on Wednesdays at 9/8c.
