Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky have released a joint statement in regard to their reported separation.

As the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills couple denied claims of a divorce but confirmed this year has been the “most challenging” of their decades-long marriage, the two of them were spotted dining together in Aspen as the past comments of Kyle’s oldest daughter, Farrah Aldjufrie, in regard to split rumors resurfaced.

“My reaction, I mean, these are stories,” Farrah, 34, told Page Six in April at an event hosted by her mom. “This is what always happens. People are going to find something and try to make it into a story. And I feel like at this point, we’ve already been through so much. I mean, who cares?”

At the same event, which was filmed for RHOBH season 13, Kyle, 54, who shares Farrah with her first husband, Guraish Aldjufrie, explained that rumors of a breakup began earlier this year after she was seen leaving the gym without her wedding ring.

“It started all from a stupid picture of me without a ring on,” she explained, adding, “A, I haven’t been wearing my big diamond ring, because there’s a lot of crime these days and I’m like, ‘I’m not comfortable.’ And B, I had just come from the gym lifting weights, so I was like, ‘That thing sparked that?’ I don’t know.”

Farrah agreed that the reports at the time were “ridiculous” and said she comforted her mom amid the speculation, telling her it “doesn’t matter what other people think.”

“As long as you’re good and your peace is preserved and you’re happy and you know you know the truth, that’s all that matters,” Farrah stated.

But months later, an insider told PEOPLE that Kyle and Mauricio, 53, “have been separated for a while now but are still living under the same roof.”

The outlet also said the couple, who share Alexia Umansky, 27, Sophia Umansky, 23, and Portia Umansky, 15, “remain amicable as they figure out what’s next for them and their family.” And as seen in a new clip, that appears to be very much true.

In a video shared by Deux Moi on Instagram, Kyle and Mauricio were seen having a meal together.

“UPDATE: Kyle and Mau eating together, just the two of them, right now in Aspen!” their caption read.

Around the same time, Kyle and Mauricio addressed the rumors regarding her marriage, saying that while they are not getting divorced, they have been faced with challenges that they hope to address privately.

“In regards to the news that came out about us today… Any claims regarding us divorcing are untrue. However, yes, we have had a rough year,” they wrote. “The most challenging one of our marriage. But we both love and respect each other tremendously. There has been no wrongdoing on anyone’s part. Although we are in the public eye, we ask to be able to work through our issues privately. While it may be entertaining to speculate, please do not create false stories to fit a further salacious narrative.”

“Thank you for the love and support. Kyle & Mauricio,” they concluded.

Prior to the news of their alleged separation, speculation grew into the nature of Kyle’s relationship with singer Morgan Wade, who she’s been extremely close to in recent weeks. However, per the statement, Kyle seems to be shutting down any rumors linking the two of them.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 13 wrapped production in May and is expected to begin airing on Bravo later this year or early next year.
