Vicki Gunvalson was met with some major backlash after sharing a flyer for her upcoming Tres Amigas tour stop with Shannon Beador and Tamra Judge on her Instagram page on Wednesday.
Just over a month after Shannon’s DUI and hit-and-run arrest, the Real Housewives of Orange County cast member, 61, took to her social media page to promote the event — and was quickly met with calls from fans who felt that Shannon, 59, should pull out of the performance and check herself into rehab.
“Get ready to laugh your [socks] off at Stand Up Live! with [the Tres Amigas] in [Phoenix] on [November 16]!” Vicki wrote in an October 18 post. “No filters, just pure comedy gold! Grab your [Tres Amigas tickets] now via the link in my bio.”
“Don’t miss out on the VIP party and post-show meet and greet!” she added.
Just last month, after being openly critical of the past DUI arrest of her RHOC castmate, Gina Kirschenheiter, 39, Shannon was arrested after hitting a home in Newport Beach with her dog, Archie, in the car. And while she stayed silent for weeks, she shared a video of herself on Tuesday, telling fans that she intended to get healthy.
“I know it’s been a while since I posted and there’s been a lot of talk about everything that’s happened recently. But unfortunately, right now, I’m not in the position to comment,” Shannon said on October 17. “But there will be a time when I can [address the arrest] and intend to be open, honest, and authentic. Right now, I’m focusing on getting healthy, getting back to myself, and walking Archie.”
The clip came just days after it was reported that Shannon had enrolled in an outpatient treatment program with an alcohol element.
Although Shannon is reportedly getting help, fans aren’t convinced that she’s doing enough — especially after seeing that she decided to move forward with the Tres Amigas tour — and took to the comments section of Vicki’s post to air their grievances.
“They try to make me go to rehab I said no no nooo,” one person wrote, reciting the lyrics to the late Amy Winehouse‘s song.
“Keep her sober,” another advised.
“Who gives a sh*t?” a third person asked.
Someone else couldn’t believe that Shannon was still going on tour.
“How is this a thing!? Are y’all really hurting that hard for [money]?? Shannon should be nowhere near this. She clearly needs a new PR team if they are allowing her to continue with this,” they stated.
“Is Shannon done with her rehab?” asked another person.
“Love [you Vicki] but Shannon should be in REHAB,” a different Instagram user agreed.
“[Three] amigas I don’t think so more like [three] desperate drunks,” a more critical person stated.
“I wouldn’t do this if I were Shannon. But it’s her life,” said another.
“All three of you need to dial back the drinking and act like ladies,” wrote someone else.
Days before Vicki promoted the Tres Amigas’ upcoming tour stop, she spoke of the event on Access Hollywood’s Housewives Nightcap, assuring fans that the material would not be as alcohol-focused as it has in the past.
“We’re gonna tweak some of the words a little bit but all in all, we’re having fun, the girls and I … We have to tweak some of the songs a little bit. We’re gonna incorporate what just happened but it’s going to be okay because people drink, people can have fun,” she explained. “You just don’t get behind the wheel, ever. We were gonna do a show during BravoCon and it just didn’t work out. We’re gonna do a holiday show… It’s gonna be funny.”
